What happens to my photo
Short version: your photo is deleted as soon as the paper is taken away. The cleaned handwriting stays 7 days so you can finish your order. When you order, our print partner Printful receives what it needs to make and ship it.
Draft — to be reviewed by a lawyer before the shop opens.
What is kept, where, and for how long
| The photo you upload | Our own server in Germany. Deleted as soon as it is cleaned, within a minute. |
| The cleaned handwriting and print files | Our server in Germany. Deleted automatically after 7 days. |
| Digital product previews (mock-ups) | Made by Printful from the cleaned handwriting and stored on Printful's servers under links that are not listed anywhere. We ask Printful to delete them when you ask us. |
| Your order: print files, name, delivery address, email | Printful, which prints and ships your order. Printful keeps order data as long as it needs to for delivery, returns and its own legal duties (see printful.com/policies/privacy). Data may be processed outside the EU under standard contractual clauses. |
| Payment | Stripe. We never see your card. |
| Our order record and invoice (name, address, products, amount) | 7 years, because Dutch tax law requires it. Used for nothing else. |
| Etsy orders | Handled by Etsy under Etsy's own privacy terms; the 6-letter code links your order to the handwriting for 7 days. |
What we never do
We never use your photo or handwriting to train anything. We never share it with anyone except Printful for your own order. We never publish an example without asking the family first, in writing.
What we do not print
Signatures, identity documents, bank papers, or the handwriting of public figures. Please do not upload them; an order that contains one is cancelled and refunded in full.
Delete it now
Email [email protected], with your order number if you have one. The same working day we delete the handwriting files and previews we hold, and we ask Printful to delete its copies. Records the law says we must keep (the invoice) stay for 7 years and are not used for anything else. You never have to explain why.
